We have three x 4 bedroom cottages and one x 1 bedroom cottage

The 4 bedroom cottages sleep a MAXIMUM of 8 persons eacg and the 1 bedroom cottage sleeps 2 persons

Yes, the cottages are rented out on a self catering

No, we have a strict No Pets Policy in the hostel and the cottages

Mountain View Cottage and Reek Cottage both have a small garden area with a mountain view
Summit Cottage and Rose Cottage both have courtyard areas with no direct view of the mountain

Your rate incudes VAT, utility (i.e. electricity/heating) and bed linen & towels

We provide a starter fire pack only for you to o enjoy an authentic turf fire during your stay. You are responsible for supplying your fuel thereafter

Towels are provided (1 large and 1 small towel per person). Feel free to bring extra towels and beach towels with you for your stay

No, bed linen is provided and beds are already made up for your arrival

Yes, we provide starter toilet rolls, kitchen roll, mini soaps and body wash, washing up liquid, kitchen cleaner, bathroom cleaner, tea towels, washing sponge, bin liners, dishwasher tablets and a starter fire kit to include quick fire log and basket of turf

Yes, we have a washer / dryer. Each cottage also has an airing rack

Yes, there is a 4 ring hob

Yes, there is a microwave

Yes, there is a plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots etc

Yes, we have both tv and dvd player

Yes, both travel cots and high chairs are available at no extra cost, however these must be pre-booked in advance of arrival and are subject to availability

Yes, we accept credit and debit cards for payments.

Normally 1 night, however at certain times in high season etc a 2 night stay or a weekly stay may become the minimum

A booking deposit of 25% is required upon reservation

Balance payments are required 6 weeks prior to arrival. For any reservations made within 6 weeks of arrival, the full payment will be due immediately.

Yes, we take a security deposit of €200 per cottage, which is reimbursed upon checking the cottage upon check out

There is a full list of house rules available to read on our website under House Rules and also ‘House Rules’ are printed and displayed in each cottage. Guests are expected to keep the noise level to an absolute minimum after 11pm in respect of their neighbours

There is no shop or supermarket in Murrisk Village. The nearest supermarkets (Tesco, SuperValu, Lidl and Centra) are all located in Westport Town, 7km away. There is also a petrol station (Gannons Garage) just 3km away which you will get basic provisions and newspaper, etc

Yes, there are two pubs both serving food and/or drinks in very short strolling distance of the cottages

Yes, we have limited onsite carparking available free of charge. There is a reserved space for each cottage and after that any extra cars are on a first come first served basis. The Management accept no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage caused to cars whilst parked on our premises….you park here solely at your own risk

The cottages are located at the foot of Croagh Patrick Mountain in the village of Murrisk. It is only a couple minutes walk to the start of the ascent to Croagh Patrick Mountain.

Yes, the cottages and the hostel are located in the same beautiful complex called Croagh Patrick Hostel & Cottages.

Yes, our hostel is ideal for families…..we have private family ensuite rooms and suites available, which will have tea/coffee making facilities within

No! There are male ensuite dorms, female ensuite dorms and mixed ensuite dorms. It is also possible to book out a dorm or dorms privately for your own private group.

Yes, all family rooms and dorms are ensuite. Furthermore, there’s extra shower suite facilities on each floor too!

No, however anybody under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult

No, we have a strict No Pets Policy in the hostel and the cottages

The hostel is operated under a secure keycard system. Upon arrival guests are issued a keycard to operate entry into the building, throughout the building and the allocated room/dorm. Only hostel guests are allowed in the hostel and the main doors to the hostel are locked at all times, whereby a keycard is required.

Any group greater than 5 persons must pay a security deposit of the equivalent of €20 per person against maintaining house rules, noise pollution, respect for the property etc during their stay. The security deposit is refunded upon check out upon keeping the house rules

Yes, there is a late check out facility available to 12.00 noon and the cost is €5.00. Late check out is subject to availability and must be booked and paid for with reception at least the night before so that we can plan our housekeeping.

Yes, you can stay on in the hostel after the check-out time of 10.30am and avail of our day facility where you can use the facilities of the hostel upto 6pm. There is a charge of €10 for this service.

Yes, we have shower facilities and it is possible to book a shower even if you are not staying here, at a cost of €5 per person

Yes, we have a fully equipped self catering kitchen where you can prepare/cook any meals.

The hostel has a self catering kitchen, a dining room and a lounge with TV (opens 7.30am to 11.30pm daily)

The kitchen, dining and lounge are close at 11.30pm daily. The outside patio area is closed off at 11pm in respect of our neighbours.

Yes, there is a dedicated bicycle area with bicycle racks. Please bring your own lock to lock your bicycle to the rack

Yes, we have a patio area with outdoor eating benches and spectacular views of Croagh Patrick Mountain

We don’t provide BBQ facilities, however you are more than welcome to bring your own bbq or disposable bbq to use on our patio area

There is no curfew at Croagh Patrick Hostel, however guests are expected to be extremely quiet when entering the building and proceeding to their room after 11pm. No playing music or singing or loud talking in the rooms after 11pm

No, we provide bed linen. Your bed will be made up with fitted sheet, duvet/ duvet cover and 1 pillow/pillow case.

Yes, bring your own towel however if you forget no problem, we have a towel rental service at a cost of €2.50 per towel.

Yes, there’s safety deposit boxes available at the reception, which is free of charge to use, however a refundable deposit will be required against the return of the key

You can request a lockable luggage crate for under your bed. You can use your own padlock to lock it.

Yes we have luggage storage should you require to leave your luggage after check out. This is located outside the building in your own individual storage container and you will use your own padlock to lock.

Yes, we offer our guests a laundry service (subject to availability… during very busy times it may not be available). Your bag of laundry will be washed, dried and folded by us and the cost is €10 per bag. Larger bags are €15. This service can be booked and must be paid for in advance at reception where you can also collect the empty bag for your laundry.

Yes, you can borrow a hairdryer which is available from reception
